Age is uncertain, but they are at least 35 years old. They were purchased by my grandmother, a former schoolteacher, who used to buy all kinds of fun stuff for holidays for her pupils. They measure 8 1/4" at the widest point. The yellow one has a satiny finish and is in excellent condition. The green one has a very tiny rip near one eye and minor fading in small spots.
